Video room: Stitching the Blue Sky
Stitching the Blue Sky is a poetry video performance by Tinca Veerman with the idea of fabricating an all-repairing blue sky from 61 sheets of blue painted pattern paper. With this video I tried to stitch together a clear blue sky on my sewing machine in the middle of a meadow on a stormy day. But is that possible?

How much wind does it take to create a bright blue sky?
When I envisioned this video, I imagined a day with a gentle breeze. What I encountered was far more intense. Sewing together 61 pieces of blue paper in the open air became a battle against the wind. With each new piece of paper, the wind’s grasp grew stronger, making the process both a struggle and a clumsy dance. In this video, you’ll see how my Blue Sky takes shape alongside me in the green meadow.
