Meat, Fish & Aubergine Caviar

Created between 2016 and 2021 in Odesa, this project documents Alex's visits to her homeland to reconnect with loved ones. The series delves into themes of vulnerability, beauty, routine, and hope, with a particular focus on the complexities of family relationships. The selected images convey a spectrum of emotions, from the profound sadness of separation caused by war to the hopeful anticipation of future reunions in her childhood home.
"Meat, Fish & Aubergine Caviar" has garnered recognition both within the Netherlands and internationally. It has been exhibited in various locations and is now part of the permanent collections of the Fotomuseum Den Haag in the Netherlands and the contemporary collection of The Museum of Avant-garde in Switzerland.
