Undegrowth

‌A forest is a hierarchical, multi-level system where the crowns of mature trees delineate the sky, and the forest litter covers the roots. In between, there is the undergrowth, made up of shrubs and young thin trees. This layer is the hope of the forest, growing from seeds scattered in the past. And what will grow from the seeds of our disturbing reality when all that is sown are bones and mines. Are such future trees capable of blooming despite their origin?
